Transforming Smiles with Ceramic Braces for Adults

Achieve straighter teeth, fix your bite and create a smile you love with discreet, tooth-colored braces.

The Benefits of Ceramic Braces for Adults

  • Discreet Appearance
Ceramic braces appear clear or ‘tooth colored’. They blend discreetly with your smile, making them an attractive option for those self-conscious about their appearance. Patients can even opt for a tooth colored arch wire instead of metal to further decrease visibility.
  • Improved Comfort
Patients who choose ceramic braces may experience minor discomfort and irritation to the gums and surrounding mouth area, but nowhere near as much as with metal braces. This is because the ceramic brackets are small and rounded, and are much more mouth-friendly than metal braces with sharp edges.
  • Surprising Strength
Despite building a reputation as a fragile material, ceramic braces for adults are pretty tough. This is thanks to technological advances which have been developed to improve their durability.
  • Malocclusion Magic
Whether it’s a minor malocclusion or a more complex case, ceramic braces can support the treatment of most issues, such as overbites, underbites, and crossbites.
  • Results on Autopilot
Unlike other orthodontic treatments such as Invisalign, ceramic braces are non-removable once attached to the teeth. This means they’re constantly working to realign your smile until the end of your treatment!

How Do Ceramic Braces Work?

Discreet ceramic brackets are attached to the tooth with an adhesive, accompanied by a wire and elastic bands. These two components work together whilst being held in position by brackets to move the teeth gently into the correct position. Your orthodontist will manually tighten the braces every few weeks to ensure they’re moving in the right direction.
